This quotes truly reflect the situation that I’m currently facing. This week we’re assign to make a multi media presentation about our NGO (PAGE). And we did some brain storming, and found out three types of media that we could make. First of all we’re planning to do a stop motion using clay and paper as the main figure. Secondly, we make a video based on real life recording. Last but not least is a concept from “draw my life” inspired by youtubers which using a white board and recording it, or another alternative is by using a application which is available in the internet.
With severals discussions, we’ve conclude to choose the concept of “draw my life” (option number three). The reason why we choose this is because our basic aim is for promoting our NGO which is PAGE and show to our customers our objectives and aims. By using this media we’re able to attracted them easier since that this media is now trending in the virtual world and that many companies are also using the same technique.
Moving on, our first step we decided to make a story board first so that our video would be well-structured. Here is a photo of our story board.
After this process we’re writing the script based on power point since that it would be easier to present, then we finalised it using a real script. For our voice or vocal, Ava (one of the member of our group) is the most suitable person to cover our presentation since that she’s American, and with her American accent would help our audience to better understand our video (Since our target audience is also from North Carolina, America).
During the process of making the video, we have experience some problem regarding the recording. We’ve decided to use virtual board for our plat form since that recoding in real white board in real life would be harder, and that virtually as individual we can do it in our own home (which is more efficient).
For me, I had difficulties in editing since that when using virtual sketch, they have made frequent mistakes and that we have to do a lot of editing. So me and Elle decided to split our job so that I could to half of the video, and she will do the other half. It took around 1:30-2:00 hour for us to finished editing. It was surprisingly fast, maybe because we had a good working environment (we did the editing in Danny’s place)
So here is the link for our our Video!!!
I think that overall we as individuals have our own role to play in this project, and It turn out pretty well especially we’re a large group (7 people). And as the only male in this group, I can get along with the others, at first it was awkward, however over time I get very comfortable with them and the result is satisfying!
I hope that I can work with them again in the future, It have been a great experience!
In this week syllabus I have learn about the 4 P’s which is the product place promotion and price, which is basically describe how does we want our product to look like (product), which location do we want to assemble (place), what kind of advertisement that we want to show to the consumer (promotion), and what is the set price which is attractive for the customers but also profitable (price). However, thorough out my research I have found out that actually there are 8 P’s not 4, which is process, people, physical environment, and productivity. Another thing that I’ve learn though out my research is that by using online communities we’re able to get customers feedback and also review about our product in a way that it will help us to develop our product much better. Huge company such as Apple use this kind of review to help to identify issues that occur in the product, for example OS X Yosemite just lunched about a week ago and they occur bug in the operating system that made the Internet connection disconnected every few minutes. In this case online communities help Apple to identify their product pro and cons and help them to develop their products.

Another good example that we can extract from the Internet is that the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Since the lunch Apple have dominant the smart phone market, however there are some negative review about the iPhone 6 plus that they are easy to bend. Online communities have post video about the iPhone 6 plus bend test and it’s proven that it’s easy to bend. In this case, online communities could also harm the image of a product and damage their market.

Although that online community has disadvantages for a company, however it still useful for them since that it would be able to give review about their product and develop it for the next. So personally, I think that online community is helpful and I’m looking forward to made a review blog for my product which have this similar design:

I hope that in the future I’m able to learn more about customer demand and market research and how can I know future demands. In this way I could create a product, which can be useful for the community. And I would also want to learn more about types of market research (primary and secondary) such as eq. Snowballing. The reason why I want to know about this is since that I’m planning to be a entrepreneur in the future, its important to know customer demand and how we know that they would but it in the future.

It have been a interesting and progressive week for our team to work out for our project! Well we start off narrowing down our ideas and focusing it more on one subject or ideas. Before, our ideas are floating like rain (the picture below basically describe how I felt)
We all have this interesting Idea on how we can improve our NGO’s however we decided to choose one which is the most effective in our perspective

Btw! I’ve learn some new awesome stuff on the class today, its about crowdsourcing! What is that? “Crowdsourcing is using collective intelligence gathered from the public and using that information to complete business-related tasks. These tasks are normally completed by the company or a third-party service provider, but through crowdsourcing the public assists in the completion of these tasks. Companies are often attracted to crowdsourcing because it expands their talent pool and is often free. Crowdsourcing also allows a company to gain insight into their customers and what they desire.” - http://marketing.about.com/od/marketingglossary/g/definition-of-crowdsourcing.htm
Well that just the basic definition! And I do think that crowdsourcing would be in a great value for me since that I’m planning to become an Entrepreneur in the future and establish my own company. Well the benefit for me for as a designer is that I would be able to generate more ideas from other designer to create better product innovative design. However, it could also disadvantages me since that the design that other people made is not what I’m looking for or what I imagine it would be. Because different people have different perspective (this is what I’ve learn in cultural differences class). But in the end we still need more people to generate more ideas because “idea” is more valuable then money. Well, some might disagree with me because they prefer “go it alone” then crowdsourcing.

Circle of life… This is truly ironic, because its true.
Another Inspiring Quotes
Sell your crap, Pay your debt. Do what you love.
In the video Adam Baker explains how we should ask our self this one question: “what is freedom mean to you”. Human being often run their life through script eq. you go to school, then you get to high school, if you get a good grade you can go to university then gain certificate or what Adam describe it as “a piece of paper” which guarantee your job security. And after 30 or 40 years they will guarantee you the promise land. But we should do that, we should write our own script.
People often brought new things for our security because we often think that what indicate the person itself is what they’re wearing, however this is not right, because Adam Baker thinks that rich experience is the thing that should indicate a person.
Adam also suggest to do 3 very hard step to be finally get our freedom and to write our own script which is: Sell your crap, pay your debt, and do what you love.
This video truly inspired me and see the world differently now, It also help me to reflect on my goals and objectives for the future ahead. I recommend for all of you to take 20 minute of your life time to watch this video!!!
To begin with, this couple few weeks have been very interesting for our project communities group, not only that I’m the only guy in the group, however we’re starting to establish chemistry. We start to know the pattern of how our group should work and what kind of leadership should we choose to manage the team. So far our group has always been democratic, we take vote and volunteer on what task should we do individually (since we splitting task).
Moreover, I’ve been wondering around and asking other group about their “condition”, and to tell you the truth, our group turn out not that bad. We never had a fight between our companion, and in each argument we always had this one conclusion. (GOOD JOB TEAM)
Moving on to my next point, based on cultural clashes, I sometimes have difficulties on understanding other people accent, since that we have member in the team from all over the world (Brazil, Indonesia, Bulgaria, USA, Germany, and Romania). However, by time I also began to adapt their dialect and improve my understanding.
Although our group is based on 7 people (one of the largest), however we did manage to work things out. :D

I use NETWOK as my sources of information basically. Google have everything that I need to know for my general information and to guide me for my studies so far. But in the other hand, I also use the internet as my source to interact and get to know other people!
Currently I’m using Line, Whatsapp, Black Berry Massenger, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, Path, Skype, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Vines, Google+, and Hotmail as my software to interact to other people. Well, frankly speaking I’m the type of person who likes to socialised both in real life and in virtual. I don’t think that I have something personal that I need to hide, because basically there’s nothing to hide. Maybe this is the reason why currently I have 503 followers in Instagram (Well its not a lot compare with my friends back in Indonesia). Maybe the reason why I don’t keep my privacy “private” is that maybe is a cultural thing, and that Indonesian people are more open to each other rather then in western/european culture.

ME, usually, I did many sports such as basketball, soccer, and etc. However there are something that I’m very interested in and its quite rare for people to be passionate at this, which is Karate self-defence martial arts. I did karate when I was 5, and earn black-belt on the age of 16. I did a competition once when I was 15 years old and still on brown belt, and I won Bronze Medal for it. However I earn a minor injury after the competition, then my parents decided that I shouldn’t do anymore competitions (which makes me sad).
Doing material arts truly form my self-esteem and makes me who I’m today. I learn how to be patient and to control my emotion. I also learn how to approach enemy, how we only use the knowledge I’ve learn only for self-defences. For me this lessons are very useful, especially for me as a high temper person, joining martial arts class is the best decision which I’d made.
For WE, I did some other activities which involved other group and societies such as basketball, soccer, body building, and computer gaming. This activities made me know a lot of good people which are now my best friends. Although sometimes we have some rough time in our groups, such as when we’re on a basketball national competition for EAST JAVA and we made it into the big 8, unfortunately we lost by 5 point short.
However this downturn makes us stronger not physically, but mentally. I enjoy working in group because I’m able to meet new people and get to know them a little better. But the hard part of meeting new people is establishing chemistry. This is what I’m struggling right now in the Netherlands, with all of the international student in my class and groups, they have different cultural backgrounds and it makes me harder to get along and forming those chemistry. This is why I need some time to adapt to the environment and society surrounds me. This is basically why I choose the tittle of my blog “the people surround us”, its because we’ll never know who will we meet and interact, and that we must care to learn their culture differences.
I’m always passionate about computer, I guess it’s in my blood (not because I’m a Asian). But I could understand how the system and the data mainframe works, and which computer would works better and smoother. So here is some useful tips on computers!
Planning to buy a computer?
Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, TOSHIBA is a computer brand which is form since 1938 by Kabushiki-gaisha Tōshiba. It’s a multinational company which is establish to achieved one thing: “Durability”.
Japan Industry has always known as their high quality standards on production process, and its aim to create a long lasting product. Their Quality Control Management has always well-known as one of the best standards in the world.
For everyday used, buying a Satellite version is a wise choice since that they have a long lasting battery up to 8 hours, an intel processor from i3 up to i7, 4-8 GB memory (RAM), and 500 GB-1 TB of HD or SSD
However for an hardcore use such as for gaming or heavy music/Photoshop editing program, I would recommend Qosmio Version of Toshiba, since they have better graphic, higher RAM and usually also an higher Intel processor which benefit the user to be able to run heavy applications smoothly. However the drawback is that it have lower battery life hours then the Satellite.
HOWEVER, the problem of every computer who runs Windows is that in a matter of 1 years there would be virus that enter your computer (this is caused by the weak firewall and lack of good quality anti-virus), to this extend I would also recommend to buy Norton anti-virus to protect the quality of your computer for the future.
Toshiba is an affordable with satisfying quality of product which is suitable for daily use. And for student, I think that Toshiba would be a great choice. For more information please check TOSHIBA official website on: http://www.toshiba.com/us/computers-tablets
Second option, is Apple. Their explicit design and over pricing product will be a awesome choice (if you have the budget). With the same product specification, Apple would cost 200-500 Euro more expensive then other brands. It’s ironic indeed, and people still buy it! Well this is not surprising because Steve Jobs able to persuade customers to buy their product is very effective. And thanks to Collateral Value class I was able to understand the how great leaders and innovators able to steal the heart of the customers. Its explains that we buy thing because of our emotion or in other word psychological aspect. Because we always buy thing that “feels right”.
A Macbook Pro 13-inch or 15-inch is a good option for daily use. I recommend to no buy the most expensive (the core i7 with 8GB RAM) because it will cost about 2000$ USD. To safe a lot of money you can upgrade your own laptop by customizing yourself!
Check this website for the custom: https://www.macsales.com/
I would not recommend a Macbook Air because they are easily broken because its very fragile. So for people who usually use their gadget ruffly, would would strongly recommend to not buy Macbook Air.
(This review is based on my opinion, my personal experience, and the information that I acquired. So be advised that this recommendation might be biased)
So far reviewing and analyzing products my technology stewardship, there are some software that I could give some tips on, which I’m also good at, however the tips that I’m giving is probably did existed on Google and/or Youtube. I hope that my tips will help you consider more before buying a new laptop!
