The Partnership for Appalachian Girls’ Education (PAGE) is an educational enrichment program for Appalachian girls and young women. It was founded to promote 21st century literacy skills, educational access, and economic opportunity for these Appalachian girls and allows them to challenge themselves, try new things, and just be themselves!
Located in Madison County, North Carolina, PAGE has an intensive summer program where girls create digital stories of their lives, and partake in many fun and educational activities. They even get the chance to visit college campuses and talk to professionals in the fields of study they are interested in pursuing.
Throughout the school year, PAGE supports the Madison County School System and the girls enrolled in PAGE through various activities, mentoring/tutoring session, and much follow up throughout the year.
These are the problems/challenges we would like advice on:
- How to increase awareness for PAGE (locally and on a broader scale).
- How to create a fundraising platform that allows PAGE to continually be on stable financial footing.
- How to get more people involved with PAGE, either as donors or volunteers.
