The first impression is truly important, and when it comes to the Project Community’s course, I’d like to say - it’s completely interesting! It’s not only about designing, it’s about exploring and understanding, learning how to behave in business environment, online and offline.
At the beginning, I was both confused and enthusiastic when it came to this course, in short “confusiastic”. The metaphor of “The Four Hats” grabbed my attention. “IDE Networks”, “Work teams”, “Development” and “Marketing the product/idea” - about getting information, understanding, building complex goals, coordination, work through the time, support, the role of the Internet, etc. How can we use networks? I learnt it’s about discovery, not about delivery.
NGO refers to Non-Governmental Organizations. Each group had a different NGO to work with. In our case - The Children of Mexico. They’re an organization that helps reducing poverty and inequality in Latin America and Mexico in particular. Our mission and team goal is to reach them, create the contact, make a research and help their improvement with an advice.
I can’t wait to see where this would lead me and my group fellows. At the beginnig, I was confused, but now I am more enthusiastic as the picture starts to be more clear.
